The Graduate Program of Production Engineering at campus Sorocaba from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) offers the master’s course in Production Engineering in the concentration area named “Operations Management”, and has a branch of research named “Management of Production Systems”.

The conclusion of the Master degree in the Graduate Program of Production Engineering of at campus Sorocaba (PPGEP-So) from UFSCar requires the accomplishment of 38 (thirty eight) credits in courses, the approval in the Qualification Exam and in an English Language Proficiency Exam, and obtaining another 62 (sixty-four) credits corresponding to approval in defense of the Dissertation.

There are 03 (three) mandatory courses to all students, and optative courses that are offered according to the demands of the degree and the availability of faculty members.

The grading system will be determined by the instructor of each course and must be expressed according to the following levels of assessment:

A - Excellent, credits counted toward a master's program.
B - Good, credits counted toward a master's program.
C - Satisfactory, credits counted toward a master's program.
D - Insufficient, credits not counted toward a master's program.
E - Failed, credits not counted toward a master's program.
I - Incomplete, attributed to the student who fails to fulfill, for a justified reason, part of the total work, reports or other required tests. It must be substituted for another grade (A, B, C, D or E), when the works are concluded, until the date corresponding to, at most, 2/3 of the course of the next academic semester, as established in the activities calendar from the program. 
 
The student who obtains a grade lower than C in the discipline and/or academic activity will be considered disapproved. These credits will not be counted toward a master's program.
